More dreams, made possible by you.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of St. Louis Book Works. They’ve kept the program going strong, and have been instrumental in giving so many kids a safe, supportive place to nurture their creativity and build a sense of commitment and responsibility.

We hold new volunteer orientation meetings the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m., at our location at 2414 Menard in St. Louis. If you have any questions about volunteering, please send an email to info@bworks.org.

You don’t have to be a professional writer or editor to volunteer, but you should have a good command of language. You’ll work with our student writers one-on-one, helping them write and illustrate books, providing guidance in grammar, punctuation, spelling and overall communication skills. From time to time, you may also have to help a discouraged or uninspired writer through a slump.

We invite you to get in touch with us to learn more about volunteering with St. Louis Book Works.
