BWorks, BBQ & Bluegrass – Saturday, August 5 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM

If you like bikes, brews, bluegrass, and a good BBQ, mark your calendar for Saturday, August 5, 6 – 9 p.m. for the BWorks Summer Jam and Pig Roast event that includes a silent auction to benefit St. Louis BWorks at Mad Art Gallery in Soulard. Performances during the event will be from Susan Marting and the Cats Away bluegrass band. Tickets are $25/person in advance (Sales end on July 31st) or $35 at the door (½ price for kids age 12-18 and free for kids under age 12) and include entrance, one beverage, and pig roast. Mad Art is located at 2727 S 12th Street, 63118.

Proceeds from the door and silent auction will help support this nearly 30-year-old 501(c)3 organization that helps children and youth in St. Louis discover their potential through bicycles (Bicycle Works), books (Book Works) and bytes (Byte Works).

Volunteer Orientation & Tour • Starts at 7:00 PM

Volunteer Orientation for BWorks and our 4 educational programs; Earn-A-Bike, Learn-To-Ride, Earn-A-Computer & Create-A-Book; occurs the 1st Tuesday of each month.  Volunteers meet at 7:00 PM.  During this time they are acquainted with the programs and other volunteer opportunities.  There is also a tour of the BWorks facility and classrooms.  If you are interested in volunteering please plan to attend.
